RiyadhFairmont Ramla Riyadh
Try a close selfie or head-and-shoulders portrait with the recognisable layered balconies and roof canopies behind one shoulder from an open, permitted hotel/customer pedestrian area. The licensed reference crops out the ground: exact standing position and full-body space are unconfirmed. Keep entrances and driveways clear, and ask staff before taking portraits on hotel property.
Choose soft daylight so a face remains readable against the red-brown facade and sky. Avoid positioning in vehicle access lanes to reproduce this upward angle.
Follow the light

Make it your shot
- Official dining booking and outdoor seating establish customer visits, but booking, purchases and staff permission may be required. Exact source camera position, current portrait rules and specific courtyard availability are unconfirmed; no private residence, pool or rooftop access is promised.
- Stay on permitted pedestrian routes. Ask a companion to take the portrait rather than stepping into traffic or leaving equipment unattended.
- Get permission where required and keep other people out of frame unless they agree.
- Use the background as inspiration. The exact standing point, current access and light still need checking on arrival.
